Curious to learn about how Chinese Medicine and I can support you and meet your current health needs? This is an opportunity to chat and get a sense of my approach and how we can collaborate in your care.

(adjunct techniques: moxabustion, gua sha, cupping, electro-acupuncture, and food therapy recommendations are included in the session when deemed appropriate)

INITIAL INTAKE and Acupuncture Session

1.5-2 hours - $150

This is a new patient appointment, where we gather information and you receive acupuncture. Together we go over your health history, health intentions, chief complaint, and any concerns you may have. Chinese Medicine looks at the body in its entirety, and this thorough process helps us to identify what physiological systems are involved in your chief complaint, how best to address it, and approximate how long it will take to resolve.

ACUPUNCTURE Follow-Up Session

75 minutes - $115

Acupuncture employs needles placed strategically along energetic pathways to treat the root and branch of an imbalance, while taking into consideration each individual in the disease's development.  It works by enabling your body to rest and integrate a new message at the cellular level.  A session may include adjunct techniques, such as moxabustion, cupping, or 'gua sha'.

MEDICAL MASSAGE Follow-up Session

90 minutes - $130

'Tui Na', which translates as 'push grab', is Chinese Medical Message that’s aimed intentionally at targeting and resolving an issue or disorder that could be musculoskeletal or internal in nature.  Tui Na can be just as effective as acupuncture, and is ideal for those with an aversion to needles. It employs a range of different therapeutic hand techniques from tapping and pinching, to kneading and holding to treat the branch and the root of a disorder, while also strongly integrating the skeletal structure into massage to support lasting change and integration in the musculoskeletal system.  Tui Na sessions may also include adjunct techniques, such as moxabustion, cupping, or 'gua sha'.

HERBAL CONSULT Follow-up Session

25 minutes - $55 + cost of herbs

An herbal consultation employs the same Chinese Medicine principles through herbal medicine to treat the branch symptoms and root cause of an imbalance, while tailored to an individual.  Chinese Medicine herbology is a comprehensive, scientific system of categorizing and combining herbs into effective formulas, with a rich history of 3,000 years. Ideal for continuing care, or acute issues like common colds and flues.

VIRTUAL VISIT Follow-up Session via Zoom

30 minutes - $55 + cost of herbs

The Virtual Visit is adapted to give you self-care tools for when you cannot come in and would like self-care tools at home. From the comfort of your home over Zoom, this visit could include any and all of the following after we chat and I observe your tongue: a Chinese herbal medicine prescription, herbal suggestions you can pick up yourself, an essential oil, lifestyle, activity, food therapy, acupressure, hairdryer point prescriptions, and my favorite part is supporting you through my observations and perspective regarding the bigger picture of your health and healing.

CRANIAL SACRAL THERAPY

90 minutes - $130

Cranial Sacral therapy supports and stabilizes the heart of the physical and energetic body - the Central Nervous System, to begin to unwind the physical holding of trauma, and reintegrate fluid mobility and circulation throughout all the layers of the body.  Cranial Sacral specifically focuses on releasing abnormal compression in three junctions: the floor of the cranial vault, the base of the skull, and where the lumbar and sacrum join. Cranial Sacral is subtle in its approach to allowing the Central Nervous System to meet and move with demands of daily life in a new way.

What Can I Expect With A Treatment?

  • Wear loose clothing that is easy to roll up or move aside to access acupuncture points.

  • Eat something before coming: acupuncture can be very moving and can leave you light-headed otherwise.

  • Acupuncture needles are about the size of a cat’s whisker.  Needles are brand new and single-use.

  • “Qi sensations” elicited by the needle can be heavy, tingly, achy, numb, or electrical, as well as a spreading and moving

  • Be prepared to relax.  Acupuncture sends a deep message to the body’s cellular level.  Taking time after treatments to relax allows the acupuncture message to optimally integrate.

  • Some patients may experience dramatic relief with one session, while others may take a few sessions to notice subtle changes.
